The project also includes construction of a bicycle lane in the area closest to the town of Yecla
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning has tendered a new work to improve communications from the Altiplano region of Albacete.
It is the conditioning of the RM-404 highway, which links the town of Yecla in the town of Fuente Alamo Albacete.
This project, which has a budget of close to three million euros, includes the adaptation of the first four miles of road access Yecla.
With the proposed improvements will seek a sort of traffic on the road so that it can run at 60 kilometers per hour, in safety and comfort.
The implementation of this project will expand the width of the platform, which will have two lanes of 3.5 meters, one meter shoulders and berms feet.
It also will adjust the curves of the track and replenished the firm to improve adherence.
In addition, the project includes a bike lane on the right side of the road in the area closest to town, with a width of three meters.
Thus, the platform will be 12 meters wide in total.
The Director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, said the new route "will improve drainage and road access to adjoining properties, through the provision of service roads to provide access to farms in the area."
Two new roundabouts
It is also planned construction of two roundabouts.
The first one, 40 feet outside diameter, will eliminate an intersection in 'T' between the road and the RM-A18, which also connects the town of Yecla with the neighboring province and its population of Montealegre del Castillo.
Guijarro's view, this action "will considerably increase traffic safety, since the replacement of such intersections for roundabouts easier to change the direction of movement or access to other adjacent roads."
The other roundabout, located at mile one, will be 32 meters outside diameter and, like the previous one, will have two lanes to four meters wide each, plus related one meter shoulders and berms.
By ten projectors will illuminate and improve visibility into its connections with the placement of low-energy lamps.
Throughout the section under performance milestones will be placed edge and reflector, which, as José Guijarro, "are reflective elements that provide safer driving during the night."
