On 7 September the Local Government Committee passed a resolution to solve the architectural barriers to the installation of a stairlift in the Town Hall for an amount of € 13,658.21.
This agreement has been motivated by the presentation by the Municipal Socialist Group two separate notice dated September 6, 2007 presented by Gil Lourdes Palao, citing the need to remove all architectural barriers that would hinder citizens, and March 5, 2009 by Antonio Villaescusa Soriano, stressing the need for such work to be done in the Plenary Hall of the City Council and stating the government team can obtain the relevant grant from the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.
From the Socialist Municipal Group we welcome this agreement which will solve a major problem of physical access to our Meeting Room of Town Hall for more than a few citizens, while we emphasize our commitment to the elimination of these architectural barriers, and anything involving an obstacle for citizens with special needs.
