The Department of Agriculture Yecla City Council has carried out works of asphalt and packaging in the way of the milestones in the Plan of Arrangement funded Rural Roads with the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia.
With this performance, has improved conditions of service of this country road, both for the transit of agricultural vehicles and for access to numerous farms adjacent to its route and rural households located in the vicinity.
Agricultural production in the area gives rise to a movement of vehicles from small, medium and large tonnage for the transportation of raw materials and products that are harvested
The stretch of road repair has a total area of 4.3 km and elapses between the places of Pulpillo and The House of Almansa, roadside Montealegre
The works have included the enlargement of the width of the road grading to five meters, with clearing and cleaning of roadsides and ditches.
It has also been standardized across the firm with a layer of gravel, with extended watered and compacted, prior to treatment of the pavement with asphalt layer.
The packaging has also included the lining of ditches, drainage pipes and culverts, which will promote the smooth operation and movement in this country road.
Similarly, it has been placed vertical and horizontal signs in places that required it.
The works have lasted about three months and the budget allocation amounts to the amount of 174,304 euros.
The arrangement of roads in the municipality of Yecla is a plan developed jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and Water.
This plan is updated on a regular basis within the Information Commission of Agriculture, in order to perform the repair and improvement works based on a real priority criteria of each rural road conditions.
