The yeclanos retrieved from today for pedestrian and cyclist bridge the old line of the former narrow-gauge railroad, located next to the road of Villena.
The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte and the mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito, inaugurated this morning the renewed infrastructure, which has been placed in value with an investment of 119,102 euros by the Autonomous Community, through the Fund for Local Cooperation.
The work includes a wide arc of six feet high and forty feet long, with a platform that is located three feet above the boardwalk that crosses the bridge.
The bridge surface simulates wood studs and metal rails, similar to the one true way.
It also has night lighting.
This action complements the design of the road de Villena, C-3314, completed just two years ago, a work whose importance lies in the road traffic congestion, which is concentrated in this area at peak times from the various industrial estates located there .
An investment of 4.6 million euros, financed by the Autonomous Community 3.7 million.
