The Local Government Committee approved congratulate the young dancer Alejandro Martínez Azorín yeclano has been one of the two young Spanish dancers selected to participate in international competition Prix de Lausanne (Switzerland) for young dance students.
The contest begins today, Tuesday 1 February and runs until February 6 which will take place in the final.
Alejandro is part of the 76 dancers chosen from over 500 candidates submitted from around the world.
The Prix de Lausanne is a dance competition reserved for young dance students who intend to pursue a professional career.
It is open to candidates of all nationalities aged 15 to 18 years of age who have not worked professionally.
Since 1973, the fair has been held annually for one week in the town of Lausanne - Switzerland.
The aim of the Prix de Lausanne is to facilitate the young winners of the competition a professional debut by providing the opportunity to improve their skills in one of the finest dance schools for a year without expense, or benefiting from a year at a company international professional dance.
