At the meeting on 28 December 2010 the Governing Board of the City of Yecla approved a grant of 4,000 euros for "partial funding of expenditure on the promotion and dissemination of golf," while many associations that provide social services nullified or reduced theirs.
The PSOE de Yecla is aware of the grant award in the amount of 4000 euros to promote and disseminate the courses in our city.
With all the respect we deserve this sport, Yecla socialists do not give credit to the efforts to which we have come this team of government: that at a time in which to deny or reduce subsidies to associations and very important groups that provide social services at a time imposing greater control of public spending and prioritization of the same, the government team is allowed the luxury and extravagance to subsidize a very minority sport in our city .
In a city where Ampy associations as the center is unable to complete much-needed, where relatives of Alzheimer patients are at stake their services and much more.

There are groups and associations and affected badly needed in our city and whose social work in many cases compromised by lack of funds and support from public agencies.
We note with indignation as the local government headed by Juan Miguel Benedito believes that promoting golf is more appropriate at this time.
We will not enumerate the long list of waste that is causing the government team in the pockets of all yeclanos, but we urge greater attention to who really need help from the City Council.
Management is knowing prioritize public spending at a time when so many patients and their families face many problems the City has a moral duty to devote all yeclanos money to those most in need.
