The Government of Spain Yecla invests in about 10 million euros through State Funds, 2009 and 2010
Secretary of State for Regional Cooperation, Gaspar Zarrías, together with the government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito, inaugurated the new factory ship for Innovation Technology Centre and Furniture Timber Murcia, financed entirely by the Government of Spain through the State Fund 2010 which represents an investment of 242,000 euros.
Zarrías Gaspar pointed out that this is a modern building that gives a boost to R & D + i in the field of furniture expecting a center where research and testing related to wood products and furniture that will enhance the competitiveness of companies in this important strategic and business sector of our region.
Among the features of this building, we note that in the new building is situated on a plot of 3,370 m² occupied partially by current CETEM facilities.
It has two floors with a total of 560 square meters.
The ground floor houses the equipment testing and research, and the first floor are the storage, archiving and documentation.
Zarrías Gaspar noted that thanks to the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010, Yecla City Council is developing 37 projects with an investment of 3.8 billion euros.
Of these, 33 are investment in new municipal works that are creating 271 new jobs and 4 social spending programs for the maintenance of schools and Primary Education in the municipality.
Finally, the Secretary of State also recalled Yecla has implemented 7 projects from the State Fund, 2009, for a total of 6 million euros and a creation of 292 jobs.
"In total Yecla Spain Government receives about 10 million euros in two years: the largest investment in this county by any government in such a short time and that makes clear the municipality of President Zapatero will," he said.
