At this time the municipality employs about forty assistants who help in 180 households in need yeclanos
Yesterday began the tender period for hiring a home help service complementary to that provided by the City Council.
The contract, which replaces a similar effect now finished, is budgeted at just over € 350,000.
Interested companies have two weeks to submit their bids in the Town Hall.
The winner used to be about fifteen home attendants who were supplemented during the next two years, extendable for two more, the work of six home care aides that the City already has contracted directly.
Also working in home help services both medical assistants socio-health program signed with the Red Cross, and the fifteen student-workers of employment and training workshop 'Yecla incorporates', already being done in different homes yeclanos practices.
Taken together, these municipal programs employ about forty assistants who work in different tasks in more than 180 homes yeclanos need.
More specifically, during the first month of this year the City was paying for routine home care during the week in 135 homes, in the special care program for weekends and public holidays were serving 25 households, and seven were work within the program of respite care to ease the effort of individuals who care for their dependent relatives.
All of them joined the fifteen people who are being treated under the agreement signed with the Red Cross.
The vast majority, 90 percent of all these services at home serving domestic issues, such as cleaning or preparing meals for people struggling to carry them out, and the rest will monopolize various personal care aid, as those relating to hygiene, and education.
