Yecla Mayor, Juan Miguel Benedito, accompanied by the Councillor for Education Maria del Carmen Frese, and members of the Municipal Corporation this morning visited the site of a new child in our city, located next to the school "Giner de los Rios ".
The new nursery, to be known as "The Mad Dog" recalling the novel by José Luis Castillo-Puche, will become operational with the new school year 2011/2012, and will host up to 106 children from 0 to 3 years, allowing complete Offering more than 500 kindergarten places, among the five municipal center.
It has 4 classrooms for children from 2 to 3 years and 2 classrooms for students from 1 to 2 years.
The new center represents an investment of nearly 600 thousand euros.
The work has been funded entirely by the Plan E of the Government of Spain and has received grants from the Autonomous Region for the equipment, furnishings and infrastructure, as well as the City Council.
With these new educational infrastructure provides full education for all children from 0 to 3 years of the county, making it possible to reconcile professional and family life of citizens.
In the coming months, the offer is completed with two new early childhood education centers in the business park "Las Teresas" and the district of La Alameda.
