Yecla Mayor, Juan Miguel Benedito has this morning signed a collaboration agreement with the Humane Society of Yecla (SPANDY) represented by its president, Rosario Yago.
Through this agreement is to establish the foundation for collaboration between the institution and the local humane society recently established to coordinate common actions for the protection of public health with respect to ensuring the protection and defense of pets found in an abandoned state.
SPANDY undertakes to denounce situations of animal abuse or neglect and manage the implementation part of a sponsorship plan, working with the City on information campaigns about sponsorship and ownership of animals.
We also provide volunteers and will be responsible for costs incurred by the feeding and care of these animals.
The City Council gave the ancillary installations canine municipal center, assuming the operating costs and helping to feed the abandoned animals while they remain in the municipal premises.
