This past weekend was held in the School of Music of the Association of Friends of Music Yecla, the first examinations of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
This time there were 25 applicants for the different grades.
The tribunal was constituted by Edward Warren (link) with the support of Alison Jackson, a delegate from ABRSM area.
Both were satisfied with the experience of this first round of tests, found very positive since the number of participants, taking into account that this is the first time that this was done, in addition to candidates from other sites community, which will in the future that the School of Music becomes the seat reference ABRSM examination center.
The facilities of the School of Music were other topics discussed during the conduct of these tests, since that enable the School of Music, Ammy can also be a future reference center in obtaining certification as band director ABRSM, something to be discussed in future calls.
ABRSM exams have twice a year: May-June, November-December, allowing flexibility in the preparation of examinations, thus complying with one of the main objectives of the education system, education custom tailored to each student.
The registration deadline for November examinations ends in October.
