The Governing Council has given the green light to an agreement between the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research and the city of Yecla to implement energy audits and electricity saving measures in nine municipal buildings including the Town Hall is located.
The goal is to hire energy services to reduce consumption and achieve energy savings as determined by the results of the diagnoses made.
To this end, the Ministry will establish a line of financial support designed to run investment-saving measures and energy efficiency and renewable energy use in these buildings, amounting to 20 percent of the total project cost.
The nine buildings that will be carried out energy audits with annual energy consumption of 205,615 euros encryption, intended to reduce sharply with the actions proposed diagnoses.
This agreement is part of the Plan to Promote Energy Services Contracting (ESE 2000 Plan) and the measures set out in the agreement between the Community and the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDEA) to develop the Strategy for Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency in Spain (E4).
