The Local Government Board has approved the call for grants to local organizations and associations, non-profit organizations that carry out programs of advocacy and social reintegration
These grants will fund those projects during 2011, and have an allowance of 29,714 euros, shared between aid to local social care and support to local authorities in the field of addictions.
This amount represents a 34% increase in budget grants for social projects.
The purpose of these grants is to support social welfare programs of these local authorities, mainly in the field of integration and preventing social problems among the immigrant population, such as discrimination, social rejection or xenophobia.
They are also used to finance projects that contribute to the prevention of addiction, through leisure activities and free time to youth and health education.
The recipients of this grant call, ie local organizations and associations not for profit have not signed any social partnership agreement with the town of Yecla, can occur in the General Register of the City of Yecla, their applications tailored to the Bases Regulators of the call.
These bases are published in the BORM and also available at the Municipal Center of Social Services, General Secretariat of the City of Yecla or municipal website www.yecla.es
The councilman of Social Policy, Antonio Puche believes that "these grants extend its scope and funding, helping to maintain the activity of numerous local associations and their employees, especially at a time when unfavorable economic and social for the municipality of Yecla. "
