The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, opened today with the mayor of Yecla, Mark Ortuño, the building of changing rooms and the football field with artificial turf Sports Complex 'Juan Palao Azorin', in the municipality Yeclano.
Cruz said that these facilities "have as main characteristics the efficiency and sustainability, contribute to improving the daily lives of citizens and respond to our efforts to equip all villages infrastructure for sport."
The works included in the Regional Plan of Sports Facilities, counted with a total budget of 920,082.67 euros, financed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism with 750,000 euros and the rest by the city of Yecla.
The new soccer field with artificial turf has been built on land near the first football field with the same characteristics, located in the same sports complex.
In the vicinity of these two fields has been constructed a building with locker rooms, dressing rooms consisting of five groups, two dressing rooms for referees and monitors, a machine room, a room facilities, entrance hall, store and cafe-bar.
The course has been certified artificial turf of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Level Two, the highest level of quality granted by this entity.
It is expected that the seven teams using federated Yecla in their ranks, both for training and for official competition.
In addition, Monday through Friday, they use different equipment in categories baby, juvenile and child of the Municipal School of Soccer.
Currently practice this sport in Yecla, regularly, almost a thousand players fans.
