The Mayor of Yecla, Ortuño Marcos Soto, collected in the afternoon yesterday in Murcia Energy Award in the category of Sustainable Municipality, awarded to the City of Yecla, in the course of an act that took place in the Archaeological Museum Murcia chaired by Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta Germain.
Energy Awards are convened annually by the Energy Management Agency of the Region of Murcia (ARGEM).
The jury recognized the City of Yecla, the development of a comprehensive strategy for energy saving both in municipal and in companies.
Recall that recently signed an agreement with the Agency for Energy Management in the Region of Murcia (ARGEM) to reduce non-renewable energy consumption in the town of Yecla, which aims to preserve the environment and reduce CO2 emissions through reduced energy consumption.
These actions fall within the European project "Covenant of Mayors" signed by the Mayor of Yecla in Brussels late last November
