The city of Yecla has unanimously approved a motion by IU-Green to urge the central government to amend the mortgage regulation and include in it the figure of the payment in kind.
The initiative includes the adoption of a moratorium on mortgage or implementation of measures to halt evictions of families can not afford to pay your loan.
It also establishes the creation of a special joint commission involving representatives of the House and neighborhood associations and social, for the study of actions that can drive at the municipal level.
Thanking collaboration platform Affected by Mortgage, a spokesman for IU-Green in the town, José Miguel Castillo, stated that it is the first time in the region approved a motion of this nature.
Castillo recalled that in 2010 there were 98 foreclosures in Yecla, and until the third quarter of 2011 some 62 more.
