In the celebration of March 8, International Women's Day, the PSOE in Yecla wishes to reaffirm its commitment to policies of equality between women and men, as collateral to strengthen the democratic development of a more just and equal social rights, in employment, and economic participation in society.
A new March 8 marked by the prominence of the economic and financial crisis and its strong impact on unemployment, social protest and response measures that cut labor rights and social protection to workers and workers precarize working conditions, favor the dismantling of the welfare state and prove the failure of a growth model that has social and gender inequality.
Also we are seeing cuts in public policy, health, education, social services and dependence, which are undermining the welfare state, and has a clear impact on equality policies.
A March 8 in which the Socialists denounce yeclanos gender inequality in the labor market is evident in the more difficult for women to access employment.
Therefore we demand that the new Popular Party government maintenance, security and promotion of equality policies in relation to employment and working conditions, taking into account the gender dimension as a key imperative for a sustainable economic recovery, equitable and democratic.
