The councilman of Youth, Azorin Monica believes that "the decision to organize the summer camp outside Yecla responds to the demand of parents and citizens, who in previous years have repeatedly requested a change of location and other facilities and the opportunity to interact with children from other municipalities in our region. "
Also, the number of places available this year reflects the successive reduction of attending summer camp, which has become apparent over the course of the years.
The councilman of Youth states that "in previous editions, were offered 90 seats, but in 2011 only 26 children were enrolled, and in 2010, attended the summer camp Municipal, 39 children. These data show a lack of interest this activity and this year has prompted the organization of the camp outside our town. "
The 2012 summer camp has a total budget of 10,576 euros, and will feature specialized monitors from Yecla.
Given the statements made by the Municipal Group of the United Left-Greens on the conclusion of summer camp in the Mar Menor, Councilwoman Monica shown Azorin upset by what he considers "a personal insult, baseless and senseless, the result of complete lack of the situation of summer camps in Yecla in previous years. "
According to the councilman of Youth, "the representative of the United Left was not interested in learning about these camps in situ, or visited or cared to know how they lived there. However, disinterest and lack of information itself has been insult and confuse the public about the true purpose of these summer camps. "
