The Haitian journalist Charles Michel will participate in the conference "Haiti: The ashes of the Spanish", organized by IU-Green on Thursday, at 20.30 pm in the auditorium of Yecla Red Cross to discuss the current situation of the Caribbean island and offer a tour of the country's history.
Charles Michel, in exile in Spain in the 80 after a fierce political struggle against the Duvalier family dictatorship from 1957 to 1986, is president of the organization 'Positive Partnership 2004' to help women and children in Haiti, where has been recently.
Also, the journalist will tell the status of "abandonment and neglect" that is his country after the earthquake in 2010 that killed some 220,000 people and chaos filled the capital of the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
