Yecla City Council launches a new employment plan (11/09/2012)

The alarming situation of unemployment in Yecla has resulted in the creation and launch of a new special municipal employment plan, the second to be held this year in Yecla, within the powers assigned to the City Council for our city promotion and generating economic activity.

Mayor Mark Ortuño highlighted in the presentation of this second special employment plan, "This initiative is born in a context of economic crisis is the main enemy of society yeclana and Municipal Government Team, because total unemployed in 4587 and Yecla and the shutdown of the local economy. "

The new special employment plan will allow the hiring of ten people unemployed in our city for two months, that work performed works and services under municipal jurisdiction.

Thus, the professional profile of people to hire is the two officers masonry 2nd, two pawns, two painters, two maintenance workers generally, a plumber and a metallurgist.

The budget for this initiative over 30,000 euros, to make contracts.

Staff selection is made among the candidates submitted by the Regional Employment and Training, SEF, who must pass a practical test related to the position offered.

Candidates should meet the requirements include being registered in Yecla, not perceive any benefit or unemployment benefit, belonging to a family unit with all members unemployed working age, be over 50, have a disability or be a victim of domestic violence.

Along with this special employment plan, the City of Yecla, through the Department of Employment and Training, has promoted job training and guidance to entrepreneurs and self-employed accounted for in the first half of the year a total of 126 queries and commissioning of 15 business projects, supervised by the Local Development Agency.

It has also strengthened measures to diversify the local economy, as the wine tourism sector with the creation of the Wine Routes of Yecla, cultural tourism with the opening of the Archaeological Museum of Mergelina Cayetano (which has received more 5,000 visits in two months), the agricultural sector, with the construction of a new reservoir for reuse of treated water for irrigation communities of Yecla, and back to the furniture sector with internationalization projects for local companies.

In social policy, the City Council has also strengthened Yecla aid to needy families, with budget totaling 103,000 euros, intended for the most basic care for many families yeclanas.

"The special employment plan will alleviate the economic situation in ten families yeclanas and no doubt that we will continue to generate new initiatives to alleviate the difficult situation of unemployment in Yecla," stated Mayor Mark Ortuño.
