IU-Greens said today that the closure of the upholstered furniture company Grandfort, Yecla, is "a tremendous blow to local production" and the use of the municipality, as it worked about 200 people.
The left-wing organization in Yecla has indicated that the responsibility lies with the closure of the company managers, while workers "were adapted and negotiated at all times the various options that were raised."
Has argued that the "wreckage" of Grandfort preceded by "changes in direction, shareholders unskilled sector and a host of decisions aimed at maximizing profits as the only goal."
This has added the performance of the financial sector, "which has stifled companies to slam on the brakes the lending although the government have done more to inject public money into these entities to clean them up."
"In this context we must not forget the national policy, regional and local level conducted by PP and PSOE, from brutal cuts, which has curtailed the purchasing power of workers."
