Yecla City Council has made a reception for twenty teachers from seven schools in six European countries participating in the "Comenius Multilateral Partnership Project-Green school, greenn life",
The project is to coordinate actions and activities on the environment, especially in ways to reduce, reuse and recycling of products and materials.
It also aims to consolidate a European vision and provide information and mutual experiences of how people live, work and manage these issues in other European countries
Professors and students from schools in France, Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece and the IES "Jose Luis Castillo-Puche" of Yecla, acting as coordinator.
The Mayor of Yecla, Mark Ortuño, accompanied by councilors from all local groups, has been welcoming Yecla, participants in this project, which welcomed "by engaging in a project that has as main purpose the fostering environmental awareness among the students. "
Also specially congratulated the management and the faculty of the IES Castillo Puche "with projects like this, continue to show, year after year, being a pioneer and dynamic"
That project activities have started in Yecla and shall run for two years.
It has prepared a program of activities to showcase the work done by students in the IES Castillo Puche and exchange views and experiences between teachers and students.
Regular meetings will be made to take place every time at the headquarters of one of these countries.
