The presidential adviser, Manuel Campos, with the mayor of Yecla, Mark Ortuño, today inaugurated the refurbishment of the Philippines tall houses and streets of the town, which has allowed the complete redevelopment of two urban road belonging to the historical center Yecla with an investment of more than 222,000 euros.
The performance has enabled, Campos said, "the renovation of two vials of the old town and the revitalization of the urban image of the center of Yecla, making available to its residents adequate space to their needs."
In addition, the holder of the Presidential noted that this project has allowed "boost the local economy through the implementation of works of interest that enhance the quality of life for residents of Yecla."
Specifically, the work has involved the improvement and renewal of services, such as the replacement of water mains and sewerage, the renewal of the paving and the installation of new lighting.
These actions must be added the underground network of public lighting and wiring of the entire telecommunications network, works which have culminated in the installation of new street furniture and renovation of streetlights, by other black wrought iron, similar to those in other streets of the old town.
The proposed design of the streets and the Philippines Casas Altas has had a budget of 222,960 euros, of which the Ministry of Presidency has paid 151,208 euros, under the Works and Services Plan for 2011.
More action in the municipality
The Ministry of the Presidency, through the Directorate General of Local Government and Institutional Relations, has invested in the past six years, nearly five million euros in Yecla to implement rehabilitation and construction of major infrastructures for the municipality.
The actions include the construction of the new premises of the local police, the rehabilitation of the old building of the Casino Primitivo, the adequacy of the School of Music and the works of the northern bypass in phase II.
It also has improved access to the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Castillo for the ride Barco de Avila, access to the town center from the MU-404, the fountain garden and walkway bridge over the old railway line Chicharra that linking the towns of Alcoy and Yecla also undertaking a series of renovation and redevelopment in various town streets and buildings of Civil Defense and local mechanics.
