The Mayor of Yecla, Ortuño Marcos Soto and painter Juan Ricolópez Yeclano have proceeded to sign the deed of gift to the city of Yecla free of 50 frames and the documentary of that artist.
The paintings will be exhibited permanently in the current exhibition hall of the House of Culture, once you complete the refurbishment of the new temporary exhibition hall in the basement of the old St. Joseph Calasanz College.
It is intended that this location of works donated by John Ricolopez have a provisional basis because the City Council is planning the creation of a Museum of Contemporary Art, which also expose local artists, from the art collection of municipal ownership existing.
Yecla Mayor said "John Ricolopez gratitude for this generous gesture toward his city, which should serve as an example for society yeclana. This grant increases substantially if the already rich art collection of municipal ownership, and therefore our cultural heritage, being the embryo of a future Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art. "
