National Police agents have arrested a man in Yecla a Spanish 42-year-old on suspicion of numerous crimes of burglary committed in the city in recent weeks.
The operation was launched in September 2012, in the town after detecting a wave of robberies in bars, homes and industrial buildings.
This led to the intensification and materialize the regular device preventing this type of crime, while initiated the necessary steps to clarify the crimes committed.
Thus, and based on analysis of the alleged actions and the results of the visual inspections performed, developed a plan of action focused on slots, areas, types of premises and procedures observed at the facts before.
This work paid off when on the morning of Friday 26 January, in a few of the operations provided for that purpose, was surprised that someone was stealing inside a restaurant in Yecla.
After being caught, the perpetrator would evade arrest and escape to the race shortly after being intercepted by uniformed officers of the National Police, who were able to observe how, during the chase, the pursued got rid of a bag he was carrying with him .
After the arrest, he recovered the bag abandoned by the suspect, where they found tools commonly used to commit robberies, such as shears, a hammer, two screwdrivers, two flashlights, sunglasses, plastic gloves, gloves cloth and hat to hide his face partially.
After the arrest, investigators have managed to clarify a total of twenty four robberies committed in the town in recent months, of which fourteen have been in hospitality venues, six homes and four stores, including one same gas station robbed three times.
All these crimes have been committed during prison leave those who enjoyed the prisoner, who was serving a sentence in the prison Murcia since 2001 and was taken into custody on Monday, January 28.
