Closing ceremony of the school awareness campaign on disability (04/03/2013)

The Mayor and the Councillor for Social Policy gave the first prize drawing regional Immaculate College of Yecla.

Yecla Mayor, Councillor Mark Ortuño and Social Policy, Antonio Puche have given the first prize drawing regional awareness campaign on disability school, pupils of 5 ° B Colegio La Inmaculada de Yecla, in the closing ceremony of the campaign that took place this morning at the Theatre "Secure Shell" of Yecla.

The campaign, organized by the Federation of Associations of Disabled Persons Murcia Physical and Organic. (FAMDIF) claimed that students could meet people with disabilities and conditions that must be met to achieve full normalization, through a contest drawing.

FAMDIF congratulate Mayor, the volunteers that make the campaign and participating students, and especially to the winners of the College of the Immaculate Yecla.

For Mark Ortuño "society of the future will be for our youth. So it is very important to spread among schoolchildren how to prevent risk factors of disability or mentalizarlos on living with the disabled, because this way we give an important step to integrate into society "

The awards, which will be designed to trip or educational materials in the classroom or school winner, consisted of the first € 750 (Colegio La Inmaculada de Yecla), 400 € the second (Juan Ramón Jiménez de Cieza), 300 € the third (City of Peace School in El Palmar) and 200 € the fourth (Prince Felipe de Jumilla).

At the closing ceremony of the Campaign have attended about 300 children aged 5 and 6 elementary schools awarded and students from different schools of Yecla, and volunteers who have participated in the campaign.

It has been attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Manuel Marcos, President of the Territorial Council of ONCE, Maria Teresa Lajarín, the President of FAMDIF, Carmen Gil and ADFY President, Miguel Angel Herraiz.

Also present were Councillor for Education, Remedios Lajara and Municipal spokesperson IU-Greens Jose Miguel Castillo.

The closing ceremony, presented by our partner Paqui Retuerto of Teleyecla, began with the screening of a video on Yecla.

Subsequently acted with great success, the theater group Center FAMDIF Day "John Cherry" directed by Paco Abellán, composed of young dependents with physical and center professionals.

After the awards by authorities The event ended with a performance by the students of our city Lucasport Gym.
