The Ministry of Agriculture and Water, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, has financed the rehabilitation of rural house 'El Llano de Quintanilla', as part of the Regional Information Programs Development LEADER.
The works have involved a total investment of 20,382 euros.
The new rural property, located in an old farmhouse of the nineteenth century, after its restoration maintains the traditional look of the old farmhouses of Yecla.
The house has four bedrooms, two toilets, a bathroom, a living room, kitchen, patio with barbecue and outdoor furniture and views of the Sierra de Salinas.
The Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, said that this is one of the LEADER projects driven by his department, aimed at "diversifying the economy and improving the quality of life in rural areas."
He also stressed that the initiative "aims to revitalize the area covered by the Rural Development Plan Territorial Local Action through Partnership for Regional Development of the Northeast Region of Murcia, and contemplates the increased supply of rural accommodations."
Funding for this project is part of the online community aid the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
This fund covers 75 percent of the total amount of each of the projects approved by the Ministry for the development of rural areas.
The remaining 25 percent is financed equally by this Ministry and the Ministry.
