The Councillor for the Environment, Jesus presented the project Verdú exchange water heating system and heating Public indoor pool at the National Conference on energy efficiency instruments at the municipal level that takes place in Murcia, organized by the Agency Energy Management in the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Jaén.
The intervention of our city council is included in the section for exchanging experiences between local energy efficiency in which besides the city of Yecla, presented their projects the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and Cieza, in the Region of Murcia and of Génave Bridge, Sao Tome and Bedmar and Garcíez, all of them belonging to the province of Jaén
Changing the water heating system and heating of the swimming pool deck is the replacement of the current diesel boiler supplied by a biomass boiler and deshumentadora.
Verdú Jesus explained that in this way is to "improve performance and energy efficiency of facilities, with savings in energy and maintenance costs. At the same time is able to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, reduce the danger by removing fuel storage and improved comfort facilities "
The work will involve an investment of 180,000 euros and is to have input from European funds, including government contributions
