The Community brings to 24 importers seven strategic countries to promote exports furniture sector in the Region

The Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, through the Institute of Development, is holding an international mission in reverse 52nd Yecla Furniture Fair in order to bring together the Murcia furniture companies with potential export destinations.

Industrial Furniture Design Awards
A versatile and flexible sofa to create multiple configurations and functional, system and storage racks made entirely decorative cardboard and a fusion of rocking valet and prototypes have been winners of the first, second and third prize respectively in this 18th edition International Design Competition Industrial Furniture in the professional category.
In this call, we received a total of 82 projects for Habitat Industrial Design, corresponding to 36 of these to the Professional category, of which six finalists were opting to three awards of the competition.
The competition involved representatives from different countries.
In the Professional category, Portugal, Italy, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina and the Student, Mexico, Chile and Cuba.
As in previous years, the contest has been supported by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research.
TWO BE is an innovative hybrid concept sofa and bookcase unit, project awarded first prize of 3,000 euros.
Another project has been awarded BALDA a cardboard rack system and has obtained the second prize of 1,200 euros.
The third prize, awarded 750 euros, the project has been to BOGART, a rocking chair.
In the Student category, the prize of 450 euros for the project has been Lain Murcia, a light shelf that gives a sense of movement.
Also, a special mention in this category at DLamas project, an original separator fan-shaped spaces created by a student ESNE, center attached to the University Camilo José Cela in Madrid.
Also, the Minister participated in a tribute to José Miguel Borrachero, who for 35 years was secretary general of the Regional Association of Woodworking (Arema).
