The celebration of Mass and the traditional procession with the statue of St. Roch, are the main religious events that the city of Yecla has organized for Friday, August 16, 2013, feast of St. Roque, under whose patronage is the Municipal Corporation and the consistory yeclano.
The Eucharist will be celebrated by the pastor Marcelo Felquer in the hermitage of San Roque, at 19.30.
After the Mass, there will be the traditional procession with the image owner will pass through the streets around the church of St. Roch.

The festivities in honor of San Roque will feature the acting mayor and Councilman Utilities, Inmaculada Perez Martinez, accompanied by the Councillor for Traffic, Safety and Personnel, Juan Miguel Zornoza Muñoz, and councilors of Sports, Pedro Juan Romero, and Culture, Agriculture and Environment, Jesús García Verdú.
Recall that the chapel of St. Roch is located next to the church of St. Francis, currently under restoration, and next to the park of the Constitution.
It is a small single nave building with arches and wooden paneling with Moorish decor twofold.
It is dated to the fourteenth century, which makes it the oldest temple in Yecla.
