In the afternoon, the Councillor for Social Policy, Remedios Lajara and director of Caritas Interparroquial of Yecla, Jose Maria Alonso, visited the workshop of traditional cuisine, aimed at the immigrant population, which is done on the premises of the old school "San José de Calasanz"
Remedios Lajara explained that his department works "providing these facilities where Caritas volunteer staff taught cooking workshop which aims to introduce participants to the culinary culture of our city, learning to cook dishes of our gastronomy. Others are also encouraged content, such as learning the Spanish language, the promotion of coexistence and intercultural knowledge. "
The traditional cooking workshop, held in its third edition, with the participation of 17 people.
Began last March 7 and is scheduled for completion during the month of June.

These workshops, organized by Caritas, have been conducted "with great acceptance by the participants since it is proven to help them out of their isolation," explains Jose Maria Alonso.
