The damage caused is valued at € 82,000
Agents of the National Police arrested last April 11, although recently it has terminated the investigation, four people as alleged perpetrators of numerous robberies of copper.
The investigation began in December last year after several thefts of copper and transformer equipment in warehouses of the city of Yecla and quarries around.
To these facts several robberies in private homes with a modus operandi similar to those committed in industrial areas consistent in breaking locks or padlocks access points to the various facilities were added, indicating the possible performance an organized group.
After identifying potential members of this conspiracy proceeded to make numerous traces that culminated last April 11 with the arrest of all of them when they were caught in a cottage outside the yeclana resort, owned by one components, while cleaning copper stolen for distribution.
In subsequent steps we noted the existence of numerous cases of sale of copper by detainees, specialized stores of Murcia and Alicante, remaining open research to practice new arrests.
In the various household registrations hundred kilos of copper clean and ready for sale, aluminum hose and numerous hoses were operated uncleaned copper.
Those arrested are Spanish (3) and Moroccan (1).
The operation was carried out by members of the local police station in Yecla the Police Headquarters of Murcia.
