Given the failure of the PP government team, the two municipal opposition groups have consesuado a motion for full September where they collect the concern of many groups and social partners on the possible practice of fracking and its harmful consequences.

The possibility that our town will be affected by the use of hydraulic fracturing as a research technique and gas extraction -fracking- seems to increase as the denominators have warned Advice Yecla and Jumilla.

To PSOE and IU-Greens, the city of Yecla, as happened with the theme of the quarry in the Sierra del Cuchillo, can not remain oblivious to the alarm that is causing this problem.

For these reasons and due to the inaction of the government team, the Municipal Socialist Group and Municipal UI-Green, jointly proposed that the House of the Municipal Corporation declares its opposition to such practices, which the municipality is declared " Free fracking, to urge administrations to prohibit it, consider the opposition in city plans and supporting institutional arrangements against fracking.
