In his teaching career, Salvador Forner has taught at the universities of Granada and Valencia, visiting professor at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III) and fellow at the Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset and the Spanish Academy of History and Archaeology in Rome.
Guest Professor at the Autonomous University and Complutense de Madrid and the Catholic University of Valencia.
He was Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Director of the Master in International Studies from the University of Alicante and Director of the European Documentation Centre of the University.
He holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European "History and Institutions of the European Community" (awarded by the European Commission) since 1995 and has driven from the same community of undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Alicante
From 2000-2004 he held the position of CEO University Teaching and Research of the Generalitat Valenciana.
He is the author and editor of several scientific and many research works on European history books, European integration and the Spanish and international politics.
