Seven municipalities, including Yecla, since this course have bilingual schools, which are now 38 towns in the region in which families can choose one instruction in Spanish and English to their children through the initiative '+ Languages 'from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities.
Specifically, in our city, has been incorporated into this initiative, Alfonso X, La Pedrera and La Inmaculada college.
The Mayor of Yecla, expressed "satisfaction by incorporating this important initiative to the three schools mentioned and hopefully gradually being incorporated all the schools in our city. In this sense we have to thank the teaching staff for their involvement and effort to adapt instruction to the learning needs of students. "
The Minister of Education, said during the ceremony: "Our goal for next year is that all municipalities parents have with schools with this type of advanced education and pursue the goal of implementation in all the Centers for 2020 ".
More than 28,500 elementary students in the region made this course studies in Spanish and English.
Specifically, 11,000 do first, 4,000 of them in one of the 80 schools entering the bilingual program during 2014-2015.
