This past Wednesday was presented one of the major events of offroad nationwide, only in our region that is part of the calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation besides also host the 2nd Conference of the 29th Regional League Cross.

The City of Yecla witnessed the coming-of XXXII National Cross "Fiestas de la Virgen", to be held this Sunday December 14th at the sports complex Juan Palao, under the organization of the Department of Sports Hon.

City of Yecla and Arcabucheros Squad "Virgen del Castillo", with the collaboration of the Sports Association of Athletics Yeclano, the Club Cross-country skiers of Yecla, Club Triathlon Sport Red Arabi and Yecla.

At the ceremony, which was attended by the Councillor for Sports Yecla, Pedro Romero and John Joseph Forte, president of the squadron Virgen del Castillo;

José Francisco Puche, director of CETEM;

Francisco Disla, director of the Municipal Sports Service, and José María Alonso, president of Caritas Yecla, all data on it, which will include the participation of the best national specialists who do not attend this Sunday at the European Championship offered specialty, to be played in Samokov (Bulgaria).

So in Yecla important names like Carlos Castillejo, Javier Guerra, Adel Meshaal, Eliseo Martín, Abdelaziz Merzoughi, Gema Barrachina, Judit Pla or Tania Carter and others will be given.

An event that will feature about 2,000 athletes, closing precisely the registration deadline this Thursday at 16: 00h.

Also noteworthy is the solidarity of the appointment, as from early food and donativas be collected to Caritas, delivering whom involving a number vine draw for shirts signed by invited athletes and gifts from sponsors of the event.
