The president of the Community, Alberto Garre, Murcia today visited the two exhibitions of artist Lidó Rico, where he stressed the trajectory yeclano and its national and international projection.
"An artist highly accredited throughout Spain and beyond," said the president, who encouraged her to visit the show because "is a good opportunity to see much of his work."
Specifically, the regional chief executive visited the exhibition 'Sculpting the idea', shown in the living Cajamurcia Belluga, e 'Histoire des hommes volants', located in the Art Center Almudí Palace.
The President toured both exhibitions with the author of the works, whom he thanked "the deep and held in each explanation."
Garre said that "this is a very interesting book that relates the reflection and human thinking about society and man" and highlighted how Lidó reflected through his sculpture and painting, "all conditions and the difficulties of the human being to develop within the world in which he lives. "
Lidó Rico has received many awards throughout his career, most notably the first Young Murcia Painting Prize, was selected for the outdoor sculpture Murcia Pavilion at the Universal Exposition in Seville, received honorable mention at the Sixth Biennial of Drawing held in the city of Györ in Hungary, and was selected in 2005 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to represent Spain at the XXIII Biennale of Alexandria in Egypt, where he was awarded the Grand Prize, among others.
The exhibition 'Histories des hommes volants' features 54 works made since 1994 to the present, with different materials like wax sculpture, glass, collage, mixed media on wood, digital imaging and polyester resin.
