The CEO of Industrial, Alfonso Garcia, Yecla visit this factory, which has developed, among other products, a new additive for concrete with graphene, which improves your strength and flexibility, which is particularly suitable for earthquake zones
The Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines, Alfonso Garcia, visited today the company Yecla 'Graphenano', which currently manufactures graphene powder and sheet, in order to see its facilities and the various applications being developed with this material "revolutionary" and to "show the regional government support to this pioneering and innovative project."
In this sense, García told factory owners, Martin and Jose Antonio Martinez Rovira, administrative simplification Unit Investment Acceleration (UNAI), in coordination with the municipalities, offers entrepreneurs who wish to operate or expand their businesses in the region.
Similarly, the general director of Industry recognized the efforts carried out by the firm during the four years he has been working "on a new project, with a material that has unique applications in the future."
"Pioneering initiatives like this serve to open new niches for growth and discover a world of new opportunities," he said.
"Innovation is what differentiates and makes competitive businesses. In the case of Graphenano, innovation is linked to the application to bring the graphene everyday products such as paints, helmets bicycle or foams for mattresses, among others," he said García, who noted that "company engineers have also developed a new additive for concrete with graphene, in collaboration with the UCAM, which will improve its strength, durability and flexibility, so it is especially suitable for seismic zones, concrete or roads infrastructure ".
On the other hand, those responsible for the company informed the CEO who are seeking facilities in the region to make the batteries with graphene developed its plant Yecla.
In this respect, they indicated that these batteries are already being tested by several multinationals who are considering implementing them in their products.
Graphene is regarded as the 'material of the future' by its resistance, flexibility, toughness, lightness, electrical and thermal conductivity;
as well as almost unlimited applications in the electronics, energy, medicine, building materials and vehicles, among others.
Graphene was discovered in 2010 by Russian Andrey and Konstantin Gueim Novosiólov, who received the Nobel Prize in Physics.
