The Councillor for Social Policy, Remedios Lajara has introduced a new program of additional respite, with which it is intended to "provide a space for temporary relief to caregivers of people in situations of dependency, providing a series of attentions of a personal nature to these dependent, by student workers linked to programs of training / employment and social care for dependents in the home that require work experience to complete their training people "as he explained at a press conference

Users Additional Family Respite Program must reside in Yecla, have limitations in their autonomy requiring support to complement the work of their carers.

They receive personal attention and accompaniment inside and outside the home, personal care to maintain hygiene, food management, mobility aids, etc.

The councilor reminded that from the Social Services Centre has been collaborating with the area of ​​Employment and Training of the City to facilitate the development of practices related to student workers training programs / employment and social care for dependent people in eldomicilio.

Remedios Lajara also explained that "given the rise these programs are experiencing, it became necessary to provide them with appropriate coverage and stability to their development to facilitate internships / job performance of the student workers linked to these programs."

Thus, the proposal of the Municipal Center for Social Services, the Local Government of the City of Yecla last July 28, 2015 approved this new additional program benefits under the Internal Regulations of the home help service and accompanying measures.

The program is subject to the availability of student workers and the services will be provided for temporary periods, for free, leaving the files on the waiting list until further availability.
