The Community supports the request of employers to obtain the 'denomination of origin' furniture Yecla, a European certificate framed within the geographical indications of non-food products (IG).
It is a quality label used for products that have a specific place and whose quality, reputation and characteristics are essentially due to their place of origin.
The Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Juan Hernandez, said that this award "will serve to link with potential capital Yecla as 'contract' at national level, and that remains a benchmark for the manufacture of furniture."
Juan Hernandez today held a meeting with the board of the Regional Association of Employers of the Wood (Arema) to advance the strategic plan that is agreeing with the sector.
Since the regional government, Hernandez said, "we want to promote the sectors with the greatest growth potential and should be a benchmark for economic recovery and sustainability in the future."
He also said that "it is important that we approve the plans, backed budgetary, are the most appropriate to ensure the economic viability of the different sectors and take advantage of the growth cycle which has just begun."
In this regard, he stressed the importance of productivity in strategic economic sectors in the Region of Murcia.
To do this, are fundamental aspects such as the simplification and modernization of the administration, financial resources to support both cost and flexibility;
knowledge transfer;
opening new markets and training for sectors more competitive.
For this, Hernandez said, "we are coordinating different DGs several Ministries to meet all the needs of the productive sectors and that the action of the Community is united."
