Currently, AMPY provides services to 42 users in the Day Center 'Virgen de la Esperanza', whose objectives include improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities who participate in the activities of occupational service providing care and social rehabilitation, functional therapy, multisensory stimulation, among others.
An annex to the day center building AMPY has built a residence for the comprehensive care of people with intellectual disabilities for up to 38 users.
The Minister stressed that the regional government "will do a great budgetary effort to carry out concert seats with this residence, which demonstrates its commitment to people with intellectual disabilities, for which not only financed the services They lend, but we want to have more independence, autonomy and freedom. "
To do this, he explained, "we will promote the Law of Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which we have already begun drafting together with the Committee of representatives of persons with disabilities and their families, CERMI, which includes entities working for achieve full inclusion of more than 150,000 people with disabilities who are in the region. "
Moreover, in the town of Yecla the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities subsidizes Center Senior Day 'Las Teresas', with specific attention to people with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, as well as the Day Center for seniors the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS).
In addition, Yecla has a Center for Child Development and Early Intervention for children under six, whose main objective is that children who have developmental disorders or at risk of suffering receive care from prevention and care addressed to enable their side integration into the family and social environment.
