The Governing Council has approved the holding of three cooperation agreements between the Ministry of Agriculture and Water and the municipalities of Abarán, Ricote and Yecla for conditioning service roads located in those municipalities.
The Ministry developed jointly with the local works projects and will contribute 50 percent of their cost.
For their part, municipalities are committed to delivering the necessary land, getting to do all permits and authorizations, the contribution of 50 percent of remaining funds and the proper maintenance of roads, once the works.
The Ministry will contribute to 400.00 euros for rural roads of the term of Yecla (Bronquina, Umbria Factor, Quitapellejos, Los Ambrose Homes Almansa, The Thick and the Castillo, with a total length of 21.3 km.)
In the municipality of Abarán, 80,000 euros will be allocated to finance the refurbishment of rural roads Molax Gorge, Siphons, House Alcántara, Collado Moya, hovering, and Macicandú Pelona curve, with a total length of 6 '5 miles.
Finally, we will spend 35,000 euros for a term of Ricote, particularly in the area known as Charros.
In order to improve the present conditions of service, both for agricultural machinery and for access to farms and rural dwellings in the zone of action, provides for the widening of the road platform, the infrastructure necessary to evacuate rainwater, the construction of a sub-base granular material with a thickness selected according to the expected traffic and the construction of a surface course of asphalt-based five-inches thick, for better preservation and corresponding traffic signaling.
In the past four years, the regional government has invested 20.4 million euros to put up 725 km of rural roads in 38 municipalities in the region.
From 1995 until this year, the Ministry has acted on a total of 1,448 kilometers of rural roads.
