Emergency Radio Network for Civil Protection (REMER) of the Region of Murcia held on Sunday, day 22, the XXI Annual Meeting, which this time will be held in Jumilla and Yecla, municipalities that make up Zone 6 of the former.
The REMER holds an annual meeting as an act of coexistence among all members of the same, rotating each year by one of the seven areas in which regional structure is divided (in 2007 was held in Cieza).
The events, which will be attended by the delegate of the Government, Rafael González Tovar, the mayors of Jumilla and Yecla, and Juan Francisco Abellán Miguel Benedito, the national coordinator of the REMER, Jorge de Castro, and head protection unit Civil Government Delegation, Juan Lorente, will begin at 11.00 pm with a reception at the City of Jumilla, after which they will visit (from 11.30) at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography and Science Natural.
Then members will visit wineries REMER "San Isidro" (13'15), which held a luncheon (14'00) after which diplomas were awarded in recognition of the permanence in the network, plaques and awards.
In the afternoon, will travel to Yecla, where from the 17'30 participate in a ranching CAPE Nazario Ibáñez.
WHAT IS THE REMER
Emergency Radio Network is a complementary organization of the Red Command's Directorate General of Civil Protection and Emergency (Ministry of Interior), nationally structured and constituted by Spanish amateurs who have voluntarily and altruistic are integrated in the same to assist in emergency situations.
His role in these situations is to provide Civil Protection a secure communications network transmissions between the various departments involved in accidents and also provide a comprehensive and timely information on the circumstances and the evolution of those.
THE REPOSITORY REMER
The REMER in Spain has about 7,000 employees (about 200 in the Region of Murcia) who put their technical means and expertise to service the state administration, without receiving so any compensation.
It should be pointed that belong to this network must have the title and the radio operator licensed by the Ministry of Development that authorizes them to use the airwaves and the installation of stations at home and / or vehicle.
It should also be noted that members of the REMER have several teams of transmissions, which is usually renewed periodically to supply them with more advanced.
The members of this network are located 24 hours a day, to enable their immediate in case of an emergency (floods, forest fires, earthquakes, accidents of particular relevance, etc..), For which usually has a corresponding leave their jobs because of the importance of the work to be performed.
PRACTICAL EXERCISES

As indicated in the Region of Murcia, Emergency Radio Network is divided into seven zones, which must be added a Group Immediate Deployment and Operational Communications Centre (CEPA) based in the Government Office.
