Herguedas said "the road ahead is still long, as evidenced by dramatic events such as this, where gender violence is exercised not only on women but also their children."

It expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterated his commitment to the fight against the scourge of gender violence "in all areas where we have presence."

Also encouraged citizens to participate in the merger to take place on Monday, July 14, in Cardinal Square Belluga (Murcia), at 19:30 pm, organized by the Commission on March 8 and the Forum women.

"This is an opportunity to show opposition to male violence, which claims lives every year over 70 women," she said.
