The Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, through the Directorate General for Transport and Highways, has sent contract works to improve the road surface C-3223, Yecla Murcia, with a budget amounting to 1,799 EUR .028.
C-3223 highway runs from north to south, much of the Region of Murcia, from the border with the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha Almansa on the road to A-30 Cobatillas, passing on his tour of Yecla, Pinoso ( in a section that goes into the province of Alicante) and Fortuna.
The section on which to act is running from Fortuna variant, newly implemented, and the A-30.
Its importance lies in the large number of heavy vehicles on the road, from the output of the quarries of Fortuna, which is Average Daily Traffic (ADT) of 1,858 trucks.
On the other hand, between mile markers one and three, are also going to undertake works of improvement and adaptation, consisting in the grinding of some curves and widening of the road, allowing a comfortable ride and safe for all users who pass through this tranche.
Project Description
The work for this project include concreting over two miles of ditch with an average width of 1.5 meters in order to facilitate drainage of the road and protect the firm.
In addition, to ensure optimum road marking reflector is placed, a light guide devices normally used for road markings to supplement road markings can reflect most of the incident light to alert, inform the user guide or of the road.
Finally, signaling renewed horizontal and vertical placement of road signs and directional panels.
The deadline for execution of these works is two months from the date of the contract, which will be completed by December 2008.
