Yecla Mayor, Juan Miguel Benedito Rodriguez held a meeting in the morning yesterday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment with the holder, Sotoca Constantino Carrasco, in which the forecasts were analyzed regional department in secondary schools and vocational training in Yecla.
At the meeting, attended by the Director General professional deformation, Joaquín Gómez Buendía, the Councillor for Education, Maria del Carmen Frese Andrew, and a representation of the IES "José Luis Castillo-Puche," composed by its director, Antonio Rodríguez Plus, the Head of Vocational Studies, Juana Garcia Llorens and the President of the AMPA, Alfonso García Yagüe.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education reiterated that the next year 2009 began construction of a new institute of ESO in Yecla, once the City leasing the land.
In this sense, the Mayor reported that the process of land acquisition is well advanced and in a few dates is expected to close the purchase thereof, in the neighborhood of Herratillas.
Regarding the IES "José Luis Castillo Puche" Mr. Sotoca Carrasco explained that this center will continue to provide such educational opportunities today.
It is intended that when in operation the new institute, to reduce the number of students of that, it would be at new site (as will happen in the IES Azorín).
It is true therefore, according to clearly express the counselor, the IES "Castillo-Puche" go to become an Integrated Training Center as been speculating.
So will the offer High School students.
He explained that within the budgets of the Autonomous Region in 2009, IES Castillo-Puche "has an initial nominative departure of 60,000 euros to the implementation of new training courses for employment, completing the current offering formal training (vocational training).
This will be completed in Yecla supply Integrated Vocational Training Centres, which are to promote especially from the Ministry.
Inform the representatives of this center that the Regional Employment Service and Training has already recognized the IES "Castillo-Puche" to offer these courses.
The head of the Ministry of Education showed the readiness of his department to discuss what kind of training offers are to be implemented in the Castillo-Puche.
It is intended to supplement the current and responsive to the real training needs of Yecla.
I also explain that teachers who teach these new courses of training for employment can be the same institution, if these teachers agree, or can not be, recourse to other professionals.
However reported that the Director General of Vocational Training is conducting a study on the supply of vocational training in our region that will be completed shortly thereafter and can better analyze the bid, offered at the Castillo-Puche.
Finally, representatives of the IES "Castillo-Puche" invited the Minister of Education to the presentation ceremony of the 16th edition of the awards for short story "José Luis Castillo-Puche" in late January 2009.
Mr. Sotoca Carrasco welcomed the invitation and expressed his willingness to be present at this educational and cultural event of Yecla.
