Note from PSOE:
The Socialist deputy for the constituency of the Altiplano, Domingo Carpena, has described as "misleading" the statements made by the Director General of Highways, José Antonio Guijarro, on the investments of the Autonomous Region in the secondary system of the Altiplano.
Socialist Parliamentary Group has submitted 40 amendments to the Community Budget for 2009 calling for more investment to the area and especially for Yecla.
Regarding the town of Yecla, Sunday Carpenter said the director general referred to urban planning of the road as the main Villena and greater investment to the area.
But in fact this work is finalized, only corresponds to 1.9 km of the road.
It is recalled that the management and maintenance of this path corresponds to the CARM, although the council is acting under an agreement it signed with the regional administration, which in addition to drafting the project, pays a part of it.
"The CARM has only made cuts to the original project in both length and in other sections of it.
In addition, this project is managed since 2001, ie 7 years for carrying 1.9 Kms.
Regarding the RM 404-Yecla road to Fuente Alamo, said that the Community argues that investment will total 6 million euros.
However, in the Budget for 2009, contained only 600,000 euros, ie a tenth of the cost.
The regional deputy asked "if the CARM took seven years to make a work like the widening of the road of 1.9 kilometers Villena, how many years will it take to fix the road to Fuente Alamo.
In this regard, said that the full City Council approved Yecla over 3 years ago, an agreement for the immediate upgrading of the road to Fuente Alamo.
"This road is for everyone, but especially for yeclanos a traffic hazard and a real shame given the state of abandonment and neglect in which the CARM has" denounced.
The deputy criticized the regional budgets for next year, will not be significant investments for the secondary road network in Yecla, except for small items of signing and lighting.
"The promises of the Director of Highways may believe or not, but given the history of traditional neglect of roads by the Government Yecla Valcárcel, it is our obligation to continue to insist that the CARM tipping to the area and especially Yecla ".
He added that the director general of Roads "forgets its future prospects for the expansion of the North Ring Road, the continuation of the unfolding of the cart of Villena and the arrangement of the first kilometers of the road from Pinoso, between actions more important. "
So the Socialist parliamentary group "will continue to press for more investment in Yecla claim, as submitted to the budget debate for more than 40 amendments."
