This presentation consisted of a meeting he held our collaborator, Salvador Santa, with the various denominations responsible for maintaining and guarding the Holy Places of the Holy City.
To this end, a meeting was held with members of the Franciscan Order, responsible for the custody of the Holy Sepulchre by the Catholic Church, who were sent an explanation of the Fiestas de la Virgen de Yecla, its origin, history, their traditions and customs that are repeated from the seventeenth century, year after year.
In this regard, they were given signs of the holidays of 2008 and our party brochures for distribution in the main centers of pilgrimage with the intention that the Festivities are known by the more than three million Catholic pilgrims who visit the Holy City every year.
Similarly, institutional relations should be established between the Association of Stewards of Yecla and major Catholic centers of Jerusalem aimed at the pilgrims, who have already shown their willingness to cooperate in the promotion and dissemination of our parties.
In addition also made contacts with the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem and the Armenian Church, both churches also custodians of the holy places and who were very curious to know the tradition of our parties and who are also willing to establish relations with the Association of Stewards to assist in its dissemination.
To this end, the Association of Stewards will receive a directory of institutions and Christian centers in Jerusalem to maintain contact and keep them informed of events and ceremonies performed around the Fiestas de la Virgen.
Along with this, also distributed posters and brochures for the holidays of 2008 that are already present in the Holy Land as the Holy Sepulcher, the Tomb of the Virgin (which saw the Assumption of Mary), the Upper Room (the place of Last Supper) and the Nations Church (built on the garden of Gethsemane).
Thus, the Stewards Association has sought to publicize in the cradle of Christianity, Jerusalem, traditions and history of the Feast of the Virgin.
