The managing director of Single Area Health Altiplano, Luis González-Moro, and the area delegate Cajamurcia, Eduardo Ortín, today introduced the new free-TV network that will serve patients in 30 rooms of the Hospital Virgen del Castillo de Yecla.
So far, patients admitted to the hospital only had 15-inch monitors in the rooms, whose service was contracted with an outside company and users had to pay.
González-Moro appreciated the effort both Cajamurcia, which has donated 30 television sets 19-inch flat screen, as the local chain Teleyecla, who has given freely of their television signal, and said that "patients admitted Virgen del Castillo may do a little more bearable hospital admission. "
The total cost of the 30-TVs have been around 6,000 euros and will see up to 60 channels.
On the other hand, today surrendered in the hall of the hospital that made toys prizes drawing contest for the tiniest patients admitted to the center.
González-Moro highlighted the significant importance as it is a competition among children, as "more pleasant stay in a hospital, which is always a difficult experience especially for a child."
The manager of the Highland Area Health said that "the theme of the contest was free, but always with the background of Christmas."
The winners were, Carmen Martínez Guardiola 3 years, Sharbel 2 years Mínguez Sánchez, Mari Carmen Castillejo Gil, José Miguel Santa Martínez, Emilio Gonzalez and Cristina Marin Camarasa Carpena, of 9 past four years.
