The refurbishment work on the first leg of the voyage of the N-344 as it passes through Yecla, recently concluded, have converted this old road and its environment in an integrated urban area in the main area of the city.
The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, chaired today, along with the local mayor, Juan Miguel Benedito, the inauguration and commissioning of this journey, which involved an investment of 1,938,000 euros, that 437,289 under a grant from the Directorate General of Local Government through the Works and Services Plan 2007.
The preparation of the first tranche of the development works and improving the N-344 affects a stretch of about three kilometers between the intersection of San Pablo Avenue and the church of San Roque.
The action involved the rehabilitation and functional improvement of the road to greater capacity and fluidity of movement and provide it with urban characteristics necessary for inclusion in the municipal road.
Has also been upgraded drainage, underground water, the telecommunications network and will develop the whole environment in a style similar to that used in the urbanization of the street Camino Real.
New Headquarters for Civil Protection
The Minister also inaugurated the new headquarters of Civil Protection in Yecla, a work sponsored by the Autonomous Region with 59,921 euros.
This project has focused on reform and rehabilitation of 300 square meters which includes the spacecraft, which has a new layout.
Specifically, the work has allowed the demolition of walls, interior partition, improving the sewage system, electrical installation, new plumbing, coatings and finishes.
